* If you reached this page and were trying to get back to the original posts page when my site came up, just click on the white words “NotAverageJoe” on the top left-hand part of the page to get back to it. If you meant to click “Home” well, here you go. *
Anyways, this site is dedicated at this point in time for those who so desire to get out of the “Rat Race” ways of life. Just be careful, by the time you are done reading this site in a few weeks, you may want to go out and sell your television, car, cell, DVD player, and maybe even the internet connection you are using to read the words of this page with.
Good luck with the journey down your path to truth. May you find interest and wisdom (maybe not necessarily in agreement always) with the words of this site.
Also, some of you may not like what I write on my site or the consequences of the Truth. However, just like pastor Bil Cornelius says, “Don’t tell your kids what you want them to do, DO what you want them to do.” This to me, applies to the utmost. I am venturing to say that one would want his or her kid to grow up and be the best possible person. Well, ask yourself, “Do I send conflicting messages to my kids by telling them to do one thing, and then I go and do actions that may conflict with what I am teaching them?” For example, one may tell his or her child to live by the proverbs of the Bible. However, if you are not practicing what you preach, odds are your kids are going to be CONFUSED by what they hear and what they see. “Talk is cheap” my mother always says. What about you, are you practicing what you preach? This is something I may need to work on too. I am not claiming to be perfect. Of that I am certain.
Also, if any of you find anything that is not true or that I can change on this site, leave me a comment, PLEASE. I do not like to disseminate false information to people. If you look around my site enough, this you can definitely see for yourself. Happy readings. -Joe

Joe,
I read the entry you told me about. I do like what you said. This is why I was careful on what I did and said. I know I have fallen away these past few months. I am working hard at setting my path straight once more. I am weeding out who I need to and am trying to keep positive influences around me. We, many times cannot help but become who we hang out with or talk to. This is in fact true for our children as well, their eyes are on us at all times. They are like sponges absorbing all they see and hear. This also rings true with friends and people in general. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your guidance and our conversation. It truly hit home in many aspects and more than you will ever know. God’s Blessings and protection on you. May he guide you with his ever loving hands and keep you protected under the shadows of his wings as you go out and sheppard people and do God’s calling for your life. You are a special man Joe and I am honored to have you as a friend. My hope and prayer is that my sons grow up to be as great of men as you are, with a heart on fire for our Lord and Savior Jesus christ.
In Christ,
Nora Lisa

howdy amigo!
The site looks great! I can tell you put a lot of work into it—it shows. Wooohoo!
I can’t believe I was in Kingsville so recently! It feels like yesterday. The journey down to Costa Rica was awesome, but it flew by. I wish I could have figured out a way to slow time.
Yeah, that must be a bummer about Adam. I’m sure everyone misses having him around in Kingsville. You have to get out to CO for a visit!
I’ve been thinking of you the past few Sundays. The family I’m staying with is Christian and we’ve been going to their church each week. 2.5 hour long services! Eeeek! Very interesting stuff though (what I can understand in Spanish, that is). It’s a Baptist church, but not American Baptist. The services are very traditional (no live-concert type feel with sound crew and light operators!) so sometimes they feel a bit dry after the two hour mark. But still it’s interesting to see the way people of other cultures celebrate their religion.
Something I found interesting: here, Catholics are not considered Christians. The word ‘Christian’ is used to describe Baptists, Evangelicals, etc. But not Catholics. I thought that was interesting. I haven’t been able to get a solid answer yet as to why there is that sort of distinction here.
hope all is well,
andrew
